Utah Mosin Nagant Challenge V - Are you up for the challenge?
The 5th Challenge is scheduled for April 19th at 1pm at the Wahsatch Shooter's Association (Kaysville Range). The fee this go around will be $7 for members of the range and $17 for non-members. The format will be the same as the past. Here's a quick run down of the stages.
Stage 1 - 50 yards, 5 shots, standing
Stage 2 - 75 yards, 5 shots, bench rest, timed quick shots
Stage 3 - 100 yards, 5 shots, bench rest, no time limit
Stage 4 - 100+ yards sniper challenge
Stages 1-3 are on the same paper targets we have used in the past and will be scored on the honor system. Stage 4 will be a fewer shots equals a better score stage.
The tools - Bring your favorite Mosin Nagant 91/30 stock rifle with no major modifications. Open sights only. A recoil pad is allowed. Surplus ammo, expensive ammo, or reloads, your choice. Eye and ear protection.
Check in begins at 1:00 and we will run down the rules as soon as we are checked in. There will be about a 15 minute warm up and then the fun begins. We will keep it safe and fun. And who know what kind of rabbit or pumpkin or golf ball or revolver we may pull out of the hat?

We put this competition together to have a good competitive time for those of us that love to shoot and can have a good time with an inexpensive rifle. Join us and invite someone you know or anyone you see at the range shooting this Russian icon.
