Time For Another Challenge

Its been too long.

Its time to throw down.

Are you up for the challenge?

April 11th, 2015 - The Sixth Utah Mosin Nagant Challenge

1:00 p.m. @ The Wahsatch Shooter's Association Range

The Utah Mosin Nagant Challenge will test your skills with this time
tested rifle and its rimmed cartridge.  The format will be very similar to past formats.  A brief explanation below.  But the difference this go around is.....

This will be an "OPEN" match.  This will be open to all non-modified Mosin Nagant variants shooting the 7.62 x 54r.  Previously only 91/30's were allowed.
I've had enough people wanting to participate with their M44 or other version.  The rifle must still be open sights and no modifications to stock, trigger, etc.  So tell all your friends.  There are a lot of these rifles collecting dust in some one's collection just itching to come out and play.  Here's their chance.  Spread the word.

4 Main Stages -
50 Yards Standing
75 Yards Timed event
100 Yards Bench Rest
110-ish yards sniper challenge

There will also be an opportunity to bring your own throw down challenge.  If you have an idea for a competitive challenge we will have a few side challenges on top of the scoring event.  Bring your best "shot."

Sign up by sending me an email at utahmncompetition@gmail.com

Fee - $5 for WSA range member, $15 for non-members. ($10 range fee)  mainly to cover targets and a little something for the winner.

This event is a lot of fun.  Come one, come all.  First time Mosin Nagant shooters are even welcome.  Help Spread the word.

Feel free to contact me with any questions about the competition.  I hope to see you there.

Some apologies are needed for not posting since the last challenge.
Some may say that I was upset for losing in the shoot off and so I refused to post pictures of the winner.  Not so.  Just too dang busy/lazy/sidetracked...ok well a little disappointed.

Congratulations to Andy Jones for winning the UMNC V.  His second win. He even did it while crippled.
